RALLY GAME-Balance the hats: Loosely based on the hat that Elphaba has Wicked, the students have to experience this balance of big hats by hat stacking. The students are challenged to balance as many hats as they can onto their partners head. After their time is up their partner must balance all of the hats on their head and walk to the center of the arena where the hats originally were.
The Games Begin
These games had to be adjusted slightly to the small gym because it started to rain. There was a red rectangle on the small gym floor which representatives from each grade started at. The Rally officers placed a small black box in the middle of the rectangle filled to the brim in various types of hats such as caps, sun hats, visors or knitted hats.
Each grade had chosen who would stay behind having to balance the hats and grades were given the same amount of time of 1 minute. The rally officers started the timer and all representatives raced towards the black box to get as many hats as possible. Off to a great start the Seniors are able to get a sun hat and the Sophomores seem to be getting many of the flat knitted hats. The Freshmen representatives had their friends cheering them on from the crowd repetitively shouting out their name. The juniors were incredibly focused, not interacting too much with the crowd as they all were set on winning.
During the run one of the hats the Sophomore Megan Wong put on her partner fell but were able to recover fast and continue. This rush from all grades continued until their time was up and the people with hats on their heads were given 20 seconds to walk to the black box. It was a bit of a struggle with the juniors arriving at box 1st and the seniors second. During this walk to the middle sadly the freshmen lost a hat in the process which could have helped them tie in their scores later on. The Freshmen made it to the box before the Sophomores who looked to be struggling a bit nevertheless they didn’t lose any hats but appeared to be uncomfortable balancing the hats.
